Alaya Chadwick - Author & Creator of the Wisdom WAY Map©
by Cheri Valentine
Alaya (Elizabeth) Chadwick dazzled me with her radiance before she even spoke.  Her smile was bright and infectious and her energy full  of peace, joy, and
vibrancy.  I had no idea what to expect when I approached “Sanctuary”, which is the site of the (W)hole Point Institute, L.L.C., and Alternatives in Counseling ~
Personal Development PLLC.  It also houses the home Elizabeth shares with her husband.

“Sanctuary” is situated on 65 acres of land that is open to visitors.  First time visitors are required to take a guided tour of streams, mediation areas, trail systems
and a labyrinth. They are then welcomed to return and walk the land on their own as they seek transformation, renewal, and healing.

Alaya’s story is a fascinating one. She has combined an academic and spiritual education with 30 years of experience to create this haven of healing, which is
also a training center for individuals, groups, professionals, couples and families.

Her career began in sales and market research.  She returned to school for simultaneous masters degrees; a Masters of Divinity with an emphasis on pastoral
counseling from Yale Divinity School and a Masters in Clinical Social Work from the University of Connecticut.  She has since further augmented her education
with the following certifications:  Certified Imago Relationship Therapist, Teaching Reiki Master, Certified Intuitive Healer, and Jungian oriented Psychotherapist
and Teacher.

Alaya has also worked in a family counseling agency, and the Yale Neuroscience Research unit, where she focused on the seriously mentally ill.  She has owned
two private practices in two states before creating Alternatives in Counseling and Personal Development in NH.

From her collective experience, Alaya synthesized the “The (W)hole Point Wisdom WAY Map”, which teaches you to love yourself, walk in wholeness, and drop all
shame and blame.  It helps you make sense of your life experience. Alaya got such great feedback from all who were exposed to the Wisdom WAY Map that she
was motivated to expand its structure to 8 different levels over a ten-year period.

In further validation of her work, the National Association of Social Work, (NASW) has approved 18 CEU’s per level for professionals taking levels 1 & 2. Those
interested in using The Wisdom WAY Map with individuals may be certified upon completion of levels 1-4. She does offer an instructors program in order to each
The Wisdom WAY.

Alaya has studied extensively and worked in the helping professionals most of her adult life, and “wishes someone had shown her this map.  It ties together
everything I have studied. It is practical, doable and weaves it all together, exploring the intersection of psychology and spirituality. Vitality and aliveness happen at
the cognitive bypass and never change.  People recognize their holes, map out their life and see their choices. It is a universal map of getting to wholeness.”

Alaya continues to hone her craft by studying with spiritual masters and hosting healers and shamans at “Sanctuary”. She also mentors, coaches and teaches
other programs that she has developed.

She also wrote a book, “Wake Up To Your (W)hole Life.  The book was endorsed Sunny Shulkin LCSW, a Master trainer of Imago Relationship Therapy, says of
Alaya and her book, “…Here, in the hands of this storyteller, therapist-minister extraordinaire, we find what we’ve longed for” “Allaya confirms what we have long
feared; it is a near impossible journey to complete with only a partial understanding of how one integrates psyche and soul. Here, in the hands of this storyteller,
therapist-minister extraordinaire, we find what we have longed for.”

Well known, New Hamshire author, Meredith Young-Sowers (author of AGARTHA, The Angelic Messenger cards  etc.) enthusiastically endorses Alaya’s first book
with these words:  “I know that readers will enjoy this wonderful book as much as I have.”  Revealed in this book is the Universal story:  Life has a way of catching
us off guard, turning our world upside down or even shattering it in a second.  We all react only to find ourselves in the same “old pit” or (w)hole, again!  Now
What??? Alaya’s book not only answers this question,  but also takes the reader on a journey, unique to them, to unveil ones (W)holeness.
