Amethyst Wyldfyre
By Emily Pietro
Amethyst Wyldfyre is a completely different woman than she used to be, all thanks to listening to her intuition and following her dreams.

Amethyst spent the first twenty years of her career working in real estate, attaining the position of National Chairperson for the Cooperative
Homeowners Association from 2001-2002, and traveling all over the country working with various media outlets. While finishing one of her large-
scale development projects and in the process of getting a divorce in 2001, she suddenly realized that working in real estate no longer suited her
personal needs. Amethyst decided to pursue more creative venues. She began designing crystal jewelry and opened her own art gallery from
2005 to 2007. Amethyst now works as a spiritual healer working mainly in sound therapy using crystals.

“My transition wasn’t so much of a conscious decision, but more of a calling of the soul. As I began to work with stones and crystals to create
jewelry, I started to open up to gifts and talents that I wasn’t aware of. I wouldn’t have called myself creative or an artist before – in fact, I was very
left-brained – and if back then I were to look at who I am now, I would have said I was totally off the wall. This 180 degree shift in my life launched
me on a seven year journey of almost constant reinvention,” says Amethyst contemplatively.

She began to discover her interest and talent in this area after her son was born in 1995. “I was always a big reader. When you become a new
mom, you instantly lose massive quantities of time that you used to have. I realized that if I was going to use any of my free time for reading, I had
to read things that were more meaningful. Spiritual books awakened me to the idea of spirituality as a path.”

For those of us not familiar with sound therapy, Amethyst explains that stones have their own unique vibration and energetic signature, and
different stones have different capabilities. Humans are electromagnetic beings, and our personal electromagnetic fields can become out of
balance. By using crystals in therapy, we are able to clear out energy that’s heavy or negative or amplify our energy, among many other
capabilities. The vibrations of the crystals are used to tune the body and shift the vibrations of the person. Amethyst senses the needs of the
people she works with and determines which vibrations would be appropriate to alleviate their issues. She works exclusively over the phone,
which allows her to reach a more global audience.

Amethyst firmly believes that anyone can benefit from sound therapy. “Everyone has the power within themselves to do whatever they desire, and
really it’s about aligning your will and short-circuiting the mental chatter that says, ‘Oh, it’s going to be hard,’ or ‘I couldn’t possibly stand up and
open my mouth.’ You have to move through and obliterate these internalized messages so you can step into your true destiny and not waste the
life force you have.” Amethyst says that through exploring these healing processes, one learns how incredibly powerful they truly are, and how to
step into their own destiny. “It’s an energy journey,” she says. “The great work is about aligning with your soul and really listening to the song of
your heart and soul and following it, regardless of what other people and society might tell you.”

Amethyst defines success as being able to create her day in any way that she desires and to share her gifts with those who are open to receiving
them. “There are days that are just sublime, and then there are days every now and then where I need medicine work myself, and I am fortunate
enough to have people who I am close to that work with me – they help when the medicine woman needs medicine herself,” Amethyst says
lightheartedly. Looking at everything that she has done for herself and for others, Amethyst cannot be seen as anything other than successful.
