The Applaud Women publication is dedicated to women in New Hampshire and northern Massachusetts. It's purpose is to inspire, inform, and
applaud local women. The core of the magazine is our inspirational women's articles, most of which feature local women but occasionally we are
able to interview national women who we feel provide a unique inspiration for our readers. Our other articles cover topics of interest such as food
recipes, home, garden, beauty, health, fashion, dating, parenting, seniors, finance, business, hair care, skin care, advice, real estate, insurance,
weddings etc. Each issue has a feature section as well. Many of our articles are written by local business people who provide information
relevant to their business expertise. The Applaud Women website is also a resource center for local women including the most comprehensive
listings of Restaurants, Weddings, Female doctors and Hotels. It also includes a number of informational pages with links, articles and RSS feeds
to both local and national websites of interest to women in NH & n. MA.

Keeping Your Feet Pampered
By Emily Pietro
Want to keep your pampered feet looking and feeling as great in the winter as they do in the summer? Here are some simple tips for preventing
your feet from becoming cringe-worthy (and no, a professional pedicure is not necessary!).

First of all, invest in something to slough off dry skin from your heels and the balls of your feet. Most people use a pumice stone in the shower,
since the dead skin is removed easiest when it is wet and softened. Another popular tool is the PedEgg®, which has both a smoothing, pumice-
like face as well as steel micro-files to remove skin. Another bonus to the PedEgg® is that it neatly collects the removed dead skin within itself for
mess-free smoothing. If you find that it’s too difficult to use a pumice stone on your feet in the shower, soak your feet in a tub of warm water
before sloughing. Using various foot soaks, bath salts, and bubbles adds a bit of luxury to the experience.

And secondly, remember that it is extremely important to keep your feet constantly moisturized. After exiting the shower, work lotion into your feet,
making sure to get in between your toes as well. There is no need to buy a cream made specifically for feet, since all moisturizers function the
same way. After fully working in the lotion, slip on socks for the next two hours (or even overnight) to help retain the moisture and get the most out
of your efforts.

Pampering your feet at least once a week helps keep them looking great, as well as preventing rough spots and cracking. Keep your feet clean
and pampered, and you may find yourself showing them off during the colder months!
