Concord - Picnic in the Park , July 4, A program of favorite patriotic tunes by this 50-year-old concert band. Location: Emerson Field, Stow Street. The concert will be in the Concord Armory if it rains. Time: 10 a.m.-4 p.m., with band performance at 3 p.m. Picnic in the Park, Emerson Field, Stow Street, from 11:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Starting with the popular bicycle parade, there will be all-day music, field games, a marionette show, a program given by the town's K9 officer, activities for one and all and a variety of food sold by nonprofit organizations. The Re/Max balloon will begin offering tethered rides (weather permitting) before the official start of the day (from 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m.). Danvers - Danvers Family Festival - June 2 - July 5 - Festivities leading up to the Danvers Fireworks on July 3 start about a month prior with themed nights, concerts, games and festivals. Amherst - The Amherst July 4th celebration is scheduled to begin the evening of , July 3rd, with the parade to follow on the 4th, as always. The theme for the 2011 parade is "Traditions in Amherst". The Woodsville Wells River 4th of July Celebration is one of the largest in Northern New England. The parade route crosses from New Hampshire to Vermont, and is almost two miles long. The celebration continues on Woodsville's Community Field with an entire day of activities for young and old alike. We offer rides, games, food, critter chip bingo, and regular bingo, and a variety of music is played throughout the day.
